
SportWest is delighted to join the conversation on mental health at the WA Men's Wellbeing Conference 2024. This conference returns for its second year, building on the success of the inaugural event in 2023. Hosted by Mens Talk and Richmond Wellbeing, this sold-out conference brings together community members, organisations, and professionals passionate about improving mental health outcomes for men.
SportWest is proud to announce that the True Sport Manager, Jasmine Cappellucci and True Sport Project Lead, Caitlin Spencer will feature as a guest speaker, presenting on Grief and Loss in Sporting Clubs as part of the True Sport Mental Health Initiative. This session will address the profound impact that grief and loss can have within sporting communities and provide practical strategies for clubs to support members during challenging times.
The initiative aligns with True Sport’s commitment to promoting wellbeing and resilience in sport, ensuring that clubs are equipped to respond compassionately and effectively when tragedy strikes.
