The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries is hosting the Every Club Education Session, an essential event designed to introduce the True Sport framework and its initiatives.
SportWest will join as a guest speaker, alongside Sport Integrity Australia, sharing insights on how clubs can embed values of safety, integrity, and wellbeing through practical tools and resources.
What You’ll Learn
- SportWest - Jasmine Cappellucci, True Sport Manager, SportWest will present a True Sport Overview and a whole-of-sport approach to aligning values, culture, and practices across WA.
- Overview of Key Initiatives:
- Mental Health & Wellbeing – Resources and e-learning to support your community.
- Child Safeguarding – Practical tools to implement the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.
- Respectful Relationships – Promoting equality and preventing violence through sport.
- Sideline Behaviour – Building a culture of respect on and off the field.
- Sport Integrity Australia - Lisa Purves, Director Safeguarding will present on Safeguarding in Sport and tools and resources available through SIA.
- Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries - Kait McNamara, Director Child Safeguarding Implementation Unit will present on the support services available through CITS.
