Registration is now open for your organisation to join the next instalment of child safeguarding workshops delivered by Sport Integrity Australia in collaboration with the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and SportWest on Monday, 9th September 2024.
This face to face workshop is an ‘Introduction to Safeguarding’ session that is being offered and is suitable for clubs, state sporting associations (SSAs), state active recreation organisations (SAROs) and peak bodies. This session forms part of Sport Integrity Australia's Safeguarding in Sport Continuous Improvement Program across the nation.
A key learning outcome attendees will take away is the ability to understand and recognise how risk to children and young people in sport can occur and resources and support available to navigate this.
SportWest will also present on the True Sport program and resources and tools available, particularly through the Mental Health and Wellbeing Initiative to support the Western Australian sporting sector with integrity matters.
