SportWest invites you to join us for the fourth of Webinar Series for this year.

About: Child Safeguarding National Principle 5

Join us for a focused Webinar on National Principle 5 - people working with children and young people are suitable and supported to reflect child safety and wellbeing values in practice. 

Co-facilitated by SportWest and the Department of Communities at SportHQ, this session will delve into practical applications of child safety and wellbeing values in sport recruitment, induction processes and management as well as discussing some WA examples of National Principle 5 in practice!

Structure:

  • Introduction to National Principle 5 (Facilitator: Phillipa Wenn, Department of Communities)
  • Introduction to True Sport National Principle 5 resources (Facilitator: Abbey Grosse, True Sport Child Safeguarding Project Lead)
  • Examples of how clubs/SSA's are implementing NP5 into their organisations/clubs (Facilitator: Jonel B, Netball WA)


Who: State Sport Associations (SSAs). SSAs are recommended to identify their most appropriate staff member(s) and/or volunteer(s) to attend this interactive webinar.
When: Tuesday 13 August 2024
