Evaluating the Impact of True Sport. Have Your Say!

Since its launch in 2023, True Sport has grown into a powerful movement supporting safer, healthier, and more inclusive sporting environments across Western Australia. From tackling sideline behaviour to promoting mental health and safeguarding children, the first three initiatives have reached thousands of participants, volunteers, and organisations.

Now, we need your voice.

The University of Western Australia (UWA) is conducting an independent evaluation of the True Sport program. This is a critical opportunity to demonstrate its impact and help secure future Government funding beyond the current funding until 30 June 2027.

Your feedback will help shape the next phase of True Sport and ensure it continues to meet the needs of our sporting community.

Why your input matters:

  • The evaluation is being led by expert health promotion researchers at UWA.
  • The full evaluation includes surveys and interviews with SportWest members, the True Sport Advisory Group, and community volunteers.
  • All responses are confidential and independent of SportWest
  • Your insights will inform how we improve and expand the program.

We encourage you to share your thoughts on:

✅ True Sport Mental Health & Wellbeing
✅ True Sport Sideline Behaviour
✅ True Sport Child Safeguarding

Thank you to the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport for their ongoing support of the True Sport program.

Survey closes Friday 19 December 2025 – don’t miss your chance to help shape the future of sport in WA.
