Respectful Relationships Sport and Recreation Program: Expressions of Interest Now Open

Sport and recreation organisations have an important role to play in creating communities where everyone feels safe, respected and included.

The Respectful Relationships Sport and Recreation Program (RRSRP) is now welcoming expressions of interest from organisations looking to strengthen their approach to respect, inclusion and gender equality through sport and recreation. Delivered by Starick in partnership with SportWest through the True Sport Respectful Relationships Initiative, the program is available at no cost to participating organisations.

Designed for state sporting associations, sport and recreation clubs, and local governments, the program helps build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to foster respectful and inclusive environments across all levels of sport.

What Participants Receive

Organisations participating in the program will gain access to:

  • Self-paced online learning modules
  • A collaborative half-day workshop with other participating organisations
  • Tailored resources and practical tools
  • Ongoing support from the Starick team
  • Resources and merchandise to support a Respect Round campaign

The program supports organisations to build positive attitudes and behaviours, promote gender equality, and create safer environments for staff, volunteers, coaches, officials and participants.

Respect Round Opportunity

As part of the program, organisations can host a Respect Round during their season, helping to raise awareness and promote respect, safety and gender equality across their sporting community. Participating organisations will have access to campaign materials and support from Starick to help bring their Respect Round to life.
