As part of Mental Health Awareness Month, our Sport Spotlight Series continues with a powerful story In celebration of Mental Health Month, SportWest is proud to launch its Sport Spotlight Series—a campaign that highlights sporting organisations across Western Australia who are making a real impact in mental health and wellbeing within their communities.
Our first spotlight shines on Volleyball WA, who are embracing the WA Mental Health Week theme and supporting state sporting administrators through their much-loved Fortix Cup.
The Corporate Fortix Cup is more than just a volleyball tournament - it’s a vibrant, high-energy event designed to promote mental wellness through sport. It offers participants a chance to step away from the pressures of daily work life and engage in teamwork, fun, and friendly competition with colleagues. Whether you're a seasoned volleyballer or a complete beginner, the Fortix Cup welcomes everyone to join in, connect, and recharge.
Robyn Kuhl, CEO of Volleyball WA:
“Fortix Cup has been an important part of VWA Mental Health Week initiatives for several years now. It’s been a great way for corporates to take part in volleyball, enjoy some time away from the office with their colleagues and boost their mental wellness. We look forward to it every year and love the opportunity to showcase our sport.”
The Fortix Cup is a shining example of how sport can be used as a tool to support mental health—bringing people together, encouraging movement, and creating space for connection and joy.
