True Sport Champions Mental Health This October

With Mental Health Month running from 1 - 31 October 2024, True Sport is proud to support the Western Australian sporting community with a dedicated campaign to raise awareness about the vital role sport plays in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.

As part of this initiative, True Sport has developed a toolkit including a suite of social media tiles for State Sporting Associations (SSAs) to use throughout the month. These ready-to-share graphics are designed to help spread the message that sport is more than just competition—it’s a powerful platform for connection, inclusion, and mental wellbeing.

This year’s theme for WA’s Mental Health Week (5 - 12 October) is:

“Empowering Communities, Thriving Workforces: A Journey Towards Investing in Our Mental Health.”

This theme resonates deeply with the mission of True Sport, which is built by the industry, for the industry. It highlights the importance of supporting not only athletes and participants but also the volunteers, coaches, and administrators who form the backbone of community sport.

Get Involved

We invite all SSAs and community sport organisations to join us in sharing these messages of support and empowerment. By using the social media tiles, you can help amplify the importance of mental health in sport and show your commitment to building stronger, healthier communities.
