The True Sport team had the privilege of presenting to WA Cricket and their community cricket representatives on the True Sport program, highlighting the support services available to the sector and Since the recent launch of True Sport to the WA sporting industry, WA Cricket has been quick to share these important messages with their extended cricket community, building awareness of the resources and support available to the sector.
In partnership with the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, the True Sport team delivered a one-hour workshop for club presidents, administrators, leaders, and volunteers, focusing on practical tools to foster a culture of respect in sporting clubs.
The session explored True Sport’s three key initiatives:
- Mental Health and Wellbeing
- Child Safeguarding
- Sideline Behaviour
Practical supports were also provided for both regional and metropolitan sporting communities, helping create safer, more inclusive environments in sport.
A huge thank you to WA Cricket for their proactive approach to enriching the sporting experience for all and for providing education and training opportunities to the WA Cricket community.
