True Sport was pleased to present at the Water Polo WA Member Forum on Saturday, 8 August 2026, connecting with affiliated clubs, administrators and volunteers to highlight the range of support available through the program.
Delivered by Jasmine Cappellucci, True Sport Manager at SportWest, the presentation provided an overview of the initiatives, resources and services available to help clubs create safe, inclusive and positive sporting environments.
The forum brought together representatives from Water Polo WA clubs to discuss key issues impacting community sport, including integrity, child safeguarding and club development. The event provided a valuable opportunity for clubs to learn about practical tools that can strengthen governance, support member wellbeing and enhance the overall participant experience.
During the session, Jasmine outlined the key pillars of the True Sport program, including safeguarding, integrity, inclusion, wellbeing and good governance. Attendees also learned about the extensive range of free resources available to clubs, such as education modules, policy templates, posters, guides and practical tools designed to support safer and more welcoming sporting environments.
The presentation highlighted how True Sport can assist clubs in building strong organisational cultures, meeting their safeguarding obligations and fostering environments where participants, volunteers and families feel safe, respected and valued.
The forum also enabled meaningful discussions with club representatives about the opportunities and challenges facing community sport and how collaboration can contribute to stronger, more sustainable sporting organisations.
