SportWest is proud to announce a new partnership with Evolve WA to support the continued delivery and growth of the True Sport Sideline Behaviour Initiative and broader education opportunities across community sport in Western Australia.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to creating safer, more respectful and inclusive sporting environments by equipping State Sporting Associations, clubs, volunteers, coaches and sporting communities with practical skills and education.
Through this partnership, Evolve WA will support the delivery of workshops and training focused on areas including de-escalation, communication, cultural education, and conflict resolution.
What This Partnership Means
Through this partnership, sporting organisations will have access to practical workshops and education opportunities designed to build confidence in managing challenging situations, supporting positive behaviour and strengthening club culture. Evolve WA will contribute to the ongoing delivery of sideline behaviour education through practical de-escalation strategies, communication techniques and real-world approaches that can be applied across community sport environments.
The partnership will also support broader education initiatives across the sector, including cultural awareness, respectful communication and mental health and wellbeing, helping clubs create welcoming, safe and supportive experiences for everyone involved in sport.
Why It Matters
Community sport plays an important role in building connection, belonging and wellbeing. Creating positive sporting environments requires a collective commitment from players, coaches, officials, volunteers, parents and spectators.
By partnering with Evolve WA, SportWest is continuing to invest in proactive education and practical support that helps sports and clubs respond confidently to challenges and foster respectful sporting cultures across Western Australia.
